Student Loan: Should You Take Or Not?
0August 4, 2012 by Jerry
Are you planning to take a student loan to pay for your studies? Wait a minute and take your decision after going through this article. Many of us enrol ourselves in schools, colleges or some special classes without having a specific goal in our minds. You go for studies because your peers are doing the same and you also take loans to pay the fees because you find your friends applying for loans. If this is the case for you, then it would be immensely wise to pay your fees by cash instead of taking loans. The reason here is that if you do not have any specific purpose for studying, then you would not concentrate on your studies. At the end of your college years, you would be in a huge debt which you have accumulated to get some knowledge you yourself do not value. keep reading
More Workers Needed At Winnipeg Construction Projects
0July 11, 2012 by Jerry
The recent construction boom in Winnipeg has left a labor shortage in and around the region. Construction companies are now looking to supply the shortage with foreign workers with the help of the Winnipeg Construction Association (WCA).
The recent boom includes dozens of small and medium projects, with the larger ones including an IKEA store, the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, and a new stadium for the Blue Bombers. Even if these sites were halted, workers would probably be transferred to the Convention Centre which is being slated for renovation. Other planned projects include the Plessis Overpass and the current Bombers stadium renovation. keep reading

Gas Goes Down, Food Goes Up!
0July 6, 2012 by Jerry
The economy in Canada was in quite a situation in May 2012, but for the best for the country. According to the CBC, the inflation rate in Canada went from an astounding two percent in April to 1.2 percent in May, a major decrease. The gas prices were also well in April, going down a bit over two percent. The gas prices were the main reason that the inflation rate in Canada went down in the month of May compared to April, when gas prices were much higher. This is the first time the prices have fallen like this in the last twenty-two months. Although good news was for the people buying gas, the food market was not as nice of a story. “Food prices were up 2.5 percent from stores in May”. Even though the statistics have risen in Canada, they are still less than they had been in previous months and this is good for the country. The economy may be starting to show signs of getting back to the times were everyone was satisfied, rather than lately were people are struggling to find the money for simple things such as groceries and fuel to power their vehicles.
